AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS
Heat pumps are typically more energy efficient than conventional heating methods because heat pumps work by absorbing heat from the air outside or ground, increasing the temperature via a compressor to release into the home. Air-to-air heat pumps can provide cooling as well as heating. Enjoy a cool bedroom during summer and a warm living room during winter.
Using two units, an indoor unit that supplies conditioned air to the inside space and the outdoor unit that can be wall mounted, it compresses the refrigerant that takes or releases cold or heat into the room from the indoor unit.
Yes. Air-to-air heat pumps (air conditioner) can bring hot water to your home. Daikin’s Multi+ solution, heating, cooling and hot water are supplied with one system.
Yes, they can give some relief because they capture allergens in the heat pump filter to improve the quality of air.
The typical lifespan of a heat pump is between 15 and 20 years, this depends on a number of factors. For example, maintenance. Although heat pumps are a low-maintenance solution, an annual check-up by your installer or service partner will help maximise its lifespan.
Yes, heat pumps can connect to old or new radiators.
If you already have radiators in your home, high-temperature heat pumps or hybrid heat pumps (if you’re replacing a gas boiler) can easily connect to them and use existing piping without the need to replace the radiators or carrying out additional works.
